Sub Pop announced today that Blitzen Trapper’s fifth studio album, Destroyer of the Void, will be released June 8th.  The first single is called “Heaven and Earth,” and luckily it continues with the focused folk of 2008′s Furr rather than the unpredictability of 2007′s Wild Mountain Nation.  Singer Eric Earley’s voice suits the laid-back melodies of their previous effort so well, and if “Heaven and Earth” is any indication, we’ve got another great album to look forward to.  Stream or download the track below.
