Still hadn’t warmed to chillwave and it’s progenitor until a few months ago when 4AD released “Round and Round” as a single. Since then I’ve been keeping an eye on Ariel Pink/Haunted Graffiti and forthcoming album Before Today. Yesterday the LA Times made the entire album available for streaming. I’ve “worn it out” since. Very impressive. According to Pink he’s not too fond of the bands he gave rise to and with this album (based on a few listens anyway) he leaves them behind. Jump on this quick, they’ll pull it when the album drops from 4AD on June 7th.
